We had a great Valentine's Day this year. Justin and I take turns planning Valentine's Day. Unfortunately (or fortunately I haven't decided) I seem to plan the years that we have a new nursing baby, so they are mostly at home or a quick dinner and Justin plans the odd years when we can go somewhere. They had some morning basketball games so we went to those and surprised Justin by decorating his truck with balloons, decorations and candy so he would see it when he left the games. I had done this once before when we were dating and I really can't remember HOW I had so many balloons, and how I got all the balloons outside into his car, it was filled to the point that he had to pop some to get in and drive. Maybe some of you can remember and fill me in. But this time, there were only a few balloons that we brought in trash bags, but it was still cute. I had also made a Valentine's Day CD that was in his CD player when he got in (the same one from the first time I decorated his car). It was a little easier this time since I had easy access to his spare key. :-)
Justin planned an overnight trip to Jackson Hole. All I knew was who was babysitting, when she was coming, that we were going to Jackson Hole, and he said to pack my warm clothes and something nice but still casual for dinner.
So our WONDERFUL babysitter, Ashley came at 4:00 and Justin was feeding the horses (and getting our skis which had been stored in Jamie and Ben's basement), so we left at about 4:45. We went night skiing and then checked into out "hotel". It was a place with cute cabins with a BIG bed and a fireplace. It was called Spring Creek Ranch and the views were amazing! We went to dinner and the food was great. But unfortunately we took NO pictures, we are really bad about that. So here is a picture of the Ranch from their website.
It was a great surprise and we had LOTS of fun! Thanks Honey for the GREAT Valentine's Day!

How fun! That is a great idea to take every other year to plan Valentine’s Day... I am glad you got some time together. I love the balloon idea and I laughed when you said it was easier this time because you had better access to his spare key!!:)
I totally remember hearing Justin talking about how many balloons there were and a little about trying to get a key without Justin catching on, but I don't remember how you did the balloons. Did we all blow them up? Was our room full of balloons? I can't believe that I don't remember! I am glad that you guys had a great V-day. Ah..the joys of one night alone!
This sounds like so much fun! I'm glad with kids you guys still take time to do special things for each other and make it romantic. I'm jealous you got to go skiing. We miss the snow!
